Marta Robles

Studied Classical guitar at the Superior Conservatory of Music in Seville “Manuel Castillo”, graduated in Superior Classical Guitar and obtained her Master Solist Degree in Flamenco Guitar at the “Sweelink Conservatorium” in Amsterdam. She also obtained a Degree in Flamenco Guitar at the “Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya” (ESMUC) in Barcelona.

Music composer and arranger, Marta is a very versatile artist. She has participated as a soloist in “La vida breve” by Falla playing with the Symphonic Orchestra of Galicia, and as an accompanist for the bailaor Juan Carlos Lérida in his show “El Toque” and also for the cantaora Ginesa Ortega.

She has also founded many groups; the Quartet Galiu (classic guitar), Malasangre (popular flamenco) and MalasSon, with whom she has taken her music to scenarios all over the world: Europe (Holland, Italy, France, Bulgaria, Romania, Denmark…) África (Ghana, Gabon, Nigeria, Argelia) and América (EEUU, Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Venezuela).

One of her more important projects now is the flamenco band Las Migas, that released their second LP “Nosotras somos” (choosen as one of the 10 best albums 2012 by the magazine “Modo sonoro”). Her composition “Perdoname Luna” (from the album las Migas, “Reinas del matute”, Nuevos medios, 2010) was also choosen as one the 100 best songs 2010 by “El País”.

Today she also plays in the duo Alba Carmona & Marta Robles . They have many different projects together, such as “Alusiones al mar”, or “Flamenco meets Pansori”.
